Are you a tree of a different shape...a horse of a different color? I am. If you're like me, you've always known you were different. In fact, I always thought I was adopted, except that I look just like my father.
I still remember when I got my first telescope and discovered the Pleides. Long before Shirley MacLaine, I was convinced I was from there. I still look at it sometimes and long for "home" like E.T.
It's only as a person on a spiritual quest that I have come to understand that I am a paradox, just like everyone else. Like Jesus, I am in this world, but not of it. I am in a mortal human body but I have an eternal soul and a boundless spirit that is not earthbound. I am as God created me, and I am both the same as other souls and totally unique--a paradox. I don't have to wait until humankind figures out how to bi-locate or clone themselves, because I am already everywhere at once. And so are you!
These thoughts scare some of my friends and acquaintances, however, my infinite mind, made in the image and likeness of God, loves to freefall without an earthly parachute. Stay tuned for upcoming posts that explore how different trees are God's delight!
