Something's Coming....Something Good!

Can you smell autumn in the air yet?  Just a hint of what's to come...

Miracles are like that, too!  Sometimes you just know that something's coming, something good--just like in the song from West Side Story.  We may not know what it is, but we "feel it in our bones."

You might just have a hunch, or begin notice how things are falling into place, or feel amazingly motivated in a certain direction.  There are often signs along the way that we miss because we're going too fast.  Have you ever been speeding down the freeway and you miss the signs for your exit?  It's not that they weren't there, it's just that you were probably going too fast to notice them or you weren't paying attention.  Once we slow down and take notice of what's going on around us, we see a spiritual plan unfolding. We see good things coming our way.  We feel empowered as we watch things beginning to come to pass.

As a good friend, Rev. Caryl Menkus always reminded us, just listen and pay attention.  We can add just watch and just tune in.  Once we do this, we'll be ready to prepare for the changes and challenges that come with becoming all that we are meant to be.  ARE YOU READY? CAN YOU FEEL IT IN THE AIR?  SOMETHING'S COMING....SOMETHING GOOD!

Creative Force within me and all around me, I feel your presence and your power as you work in my life.  I am alert to your action that I may do what is mine to do in order to bring about the highest good for all.

Another Path...

Another path
Another way
Another prayer
Another day
Another song
Another end
Another gift
At the end.

Today I'd like to share with you an acronym written some years ago by a spiritually aware friend of mine from Kansas.  I like acronyms because they help me remember important concepts that might otherwise slip out of my mind.  This one is especially pertinent for this ministry and a good guide to pray or meditate upon.  Thank you, Annola Charity for sharing this with those on the PATH.

Pray with passion and love and be ready to receive,

And allow magic and miracles to happen in your life.

Things will appear in wonderful ways from Spirit. Let it

Happen and be aware of the beauty of life and see

With new eyes, open-hearted as a child, so you will be

Abundant in all you ask and desire.  Because Spirit

Yields according to the faith and measure of your belief.

                                It is the PATHWAY.

Divine One, with your guidance I will stay on my PATH, wherever it may take me, as my life unfolds before me.

(Annola will soon have this available for purchase in a few days, and I will be sure to post the link where you can find it.)

Strut Your Stuff!

What a lesson in The Law of Attraction!  Maybe this bird knows what he's doing, and maybe he doesn't, but the effect is  the same--he's attracting what he's looking for.

It's not too different for us.  What we seek out is usually just what we get.  If we display our many colors, talents, and gifts, we attract people and situations that are perfectly compatible with us and our intentions.  But, if we show only our dull, complaining, poor-me side, then we'll attract just that--whiners, dullards, and victims.

All the prosperity we'll ever need is right within us in the form of our gifts and talents, and we are surrounded by the abundant universe that responds to our openness.  I remember a girlfriend of mine many years ago who complained that all she encountered were alcoholic men.  I asked her where she met them--and you guessed it--in bars!  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we determine in advance what life will bring us both through our attitudes and actions.

I also fondly remember Rev. Sharon Poindexter, founding minister of PATH Ministries, reminding us to affirm expecting "this or something better."

Warm Father, Strong Mother God, may I acknowledge the treasures within myself, and in giving them freely and joyfully, watch them multiply.

It Only Takes a Little...

I believe it was Marcus Aurelius who said, "Remember this--that very little is needed to make a happy life."  Several thousands of years have passed and still this is pertinent to our lives today.  As I studied voluntary simplicity with a group of Friends (Quakers) in Washington state, I began to realize several things:

First, I am rich beyond compare!  I have more than enough of everything to meet my needs.

Next,  I have enough to give some away to help others.

Lastly, there is a never-ending supply flowing through me to sustain me always.

Once we take a personal inventory of all that we have both in this physical world and in the world of mind, soul and spirit, we cannot help but see the blessings bestowed on us.  If we have feelings of lack or limitation, then we haven't taken a close look at our assets.  "Seek and you shall find," invites us to examine every aspect of ourselves, our lives, and our relationships so that we may see for ourselves the wealth we enjoy.  It's not about looking for what we don't have, but for what we do have!

Any lack or limitation is in the past, and is over and done.  We are in the present moment wherein all our needs are met.  There is no good in worrying about the future, for we give that over to our Higher Power.  When my earthly mother was still alive, she was the Queen of Worrying.  Even as a teenager, I would offer to sit down and worry with her if she could prove it would do any good.  Of course, she couldn't, and none of us can!

Worry is wasted energy better focused on gratitude and thankfulness.  As we praise what we do have, our focused energy works to increase our store, and more is attracted to us.  When we emphasize or dwell on lack and limitation, then we bring more of that into our lives.

In A Course in Miracles, we are taught that it only takes our little willingness to receive miracles, and that God's will for us is perfect happiness.  When we are willing to focus on our blessings, we will see that it actually takes very little to make us happy!
